Chemo #5 Update
Teresa is in the midst of her fifth chemotherapy treatment. It ended up being delayed by a week and a half due to problems with insurance. We are not happy about this, but it is finally resolved. The delay was due to trying to get the tests approved that the doctor wanted before she resumed chemo.
So, the good news. The chemo seems to be helping. The main tumor on her pancreas seems to be either the same size or slightly smaller. Additionally, her cancer markers blood test were way down from the original test. It's possible that some of the latter is due to different results from different labs, but the large drop indicates that the chemo is working.
We were pretty concerned that the chemo wasn't working at all, but it seems to be helping. These results don't change the overall outcome, but they do indicate that we will have more time. Nevertheless, we continue to put all of this into God's hands and pray His will be done.
Anticipating a poor report, I got a surprise for Teresa for today (which is the midpoint of this chemo treatment. Instead it turned into a little celebration.
More updates later. I have been fighting with multiple computer problems, which is why I still don't have any of the Alaska pictures up.
